Watercress Mayonnaise

  • 2 bunches watercress, leaves only, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • Dash hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise, preferably homemade


In a blender, combine the watercress, sour cream, lemon juice, Tabasco, salt, and pepper. Puree until smooth, then transfer to a bowl and stir in the mayonnaise.
